Welcome to the New Year! The Community Resource Centre has had an exciting start with many NEW high quality programs. In celebration of literacy week, award winning author, Esther North read from her newest novel, Those Women to a very appreciative audience. Norma-Jean Benoy wowed crowds with her Archival Workshop and Jack Collins, internationally renowned founder of PLAN, and June Malchoff from the Bank of Montreal drew large crowds for their RDSP workshop.
Our wildly successful Parenting Workshops came to an end this Saturday, February 28. For a second year, Donna Pretty volunteered her expertise to facilitate the three part series covering Discipline vs Punishment, Communication Skills and Building Self-Esteem in Children. In appreciation, Karen Archer, CRC Co-Chair, presented Donna with flowers.
Our volunteers make it possible to provide many of our programs and services and we would like to offer all of you our sincere thanks. Our Centre is vibrant and relevant because of you!
